INITIAL CONSULTATION
Our journey begins with a conversation – either in person at your preferred location or virtually – where we discuss your aspirations, the scope of your project, and share our design philosophy. This initial meeting lays the groundwork for a successful partnership.

If we feel we're the right team to bring your vision to life, we'll schedule a comprehensive site visit. This immersive experience, often spanning a full day, involves walking the land, engaging in thoughtful dialogue, and truly listening to your ideas, inspirations, and ambitions. We visit your site to understand your vision, the unique characteristics of your property, and the stories it holds. We explore the historical context, natural features, and cultural influences that will inform our design, ensuring the landscape resonates with the spirit of the place. From these initial impressions, the creative direction for your project begins to take shape.

These conversations help us understand the site's significance to you and those who experience it. The architecture, history, development, layout, geography, aspect, proposed uses, and maintenance considerations all become part of our comprehensive analysis, informing our design proposals. We believe in active client participation throughout the design process, ensuring the most meaningful and resonant outcome.

Once we agree on a fee for the Concept Design stage, we embark on a detailed Initial Site Analysis and Context Study. This in-depth research forms the bedrock of our Concept Design, which is developed in close collaboration with you. We encourage open communication and the incorporation of any new ideas or additions to the brief as we progress. This collaborative approach continues through each subsequent phase:

CONCEPT DESIGN
We develop initial concepts, presented through evocative sketches and mood boards, that capture the essence of your vision and the unique character of the site. FINAL MASTER PLAN

This plan details how the chosen elements will be integrated to create a harmonious and immersive environment, specifying locally sourced materials where possible, native and adapted plantings, and design details that reflect the history and culture of the region.

CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS
We create detailed construction plans, including layout, grading, and planting plans, to guide the building process. These plans ensure that the final landscape is not only beautiful but also sustainable, respecting the existing ecosystem and preserving the historical and cultural integrity of the site. We specify planting techniques that support local biodiversity and construction methods that minimize environmental impact.

BID PHASE
We assist you in selecting the ideal contractor for your project. Leveraging our experience and network of trusted professionals, we help you initiate the bidding process, evaluate proposals based on experience, specialization, and suitability for the project's unique requirements, and coordinate communication to ensure a smooth and transparent selection process.

CONSTRUCTION OBSERVATION
We provide on-site observation during the construction phase to ensure that the design is implemented with the highest level of craftsmanship and attention to detail. We are present for all critical landscape placements and layouts, including the placement of custom plantings, ensuring that the vision for your bespoke landscape is realized fully and faithfully.
